Clergy of all faith traditions daily witness the impact illness has on society. In particular, often the second call made when someone gets extremely ill, after either the doctor or 9-1-1, is to their clergy seeking support. Hours upon hours of a clergy’s week are often spent with those who ill and their families. What clergy are often not aware of is that many of their congregants end up with easily preventable health issues, in particular, the lack of taking their prescribed medications or even getting diagnosed for a treatable illness.
Clergy for a Healthy America was founded in 2011 to help congregational clergy actively address these key health issues which their congregants face on a daily basis.
"Helping people live their faith by helping others LIVE and be WELL."
